Nathan Allan Collins Line

I provide accurate and fast Japanese to English translations at a reasonable cost, specializing in novels, short stories, video games, manga, and websites. Translations should convey as much of the original author’s meaning and nuance as possible while still sounding like natural English—not like something that has been translated from another language—and I strive to provide that in all that I do.

I have worked independently and in collaboration with other translators, and as both a translator and an editor, and have delivered over one million words from some of Japan’s top creators and properties, including the new translation of Koushun Takami’s Battle Royale. I have real job experience in diverse fields such as film production, politics, education, and IT. I am an avid reader and gamer, but my interests and hobbies are varied, including music performance, theatre, programming, arts and crafts, and cycling. With these many passions comes a well-rounded knowledge I can bring to your project to deliver the superior product you deserve.

In addition, I have over a decade of experience with HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, Photoshop, InDesign, and all major word processing and spreadsheet software and can meet the technical needs of almost any project. Why waste time and money finding one person to translate your text, and then another to do the website/image editing?
